Pregnant Aguilera Poses Nude for Marie Claire

A very pregnant Christina Aguilera proudly displays her naked baby bump on the cover of the January issue of MarieClaire, with nude photos inside the magazine. Aguilera is no stranger to nudity. Earlier this year, she told interviewers that she and her husband enjoy a weekly tradition called "Naked Sundays," when they spend the day at home relaxing and going about their normal activities completely nude. The Marie Claire issue hit newsstands December 11. Read excerpts from the article, see more photos and even download a discount coupon toward the purchase of the issue at Marie Claire here.

At Living Waters Spa we frequently have pregnant women come in for a "pregnancy massage" -- one of Judy's massage specialties. Judy has massaged many pregnant women including our own daughter-in-law Salley whom she worked on all through her labor. Salley actually slept through much of her labor and our grandson was born with Salley being comforted by Judy's loving touch.

Need to get a wonderful massage? Living Waters Spa is the place - HEY, it IS our PASSION.

Living Waters Spa: 4 years old!

Here is our latest press release:

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA: Living Waters Spa celebrates 4 years of providing guests with "more than a vacation" in a European-style swimsuit optional environment, magical massages, and pure natural mineral water pools.

When Jeff and Judy Bowman had their first clothing optional experience in the year 2000, little did they know that in as short as three years later they’d open their own resort and now in 2007 celebrate 4 years of business at Living Waters Spa: a European-style Clothing Optional Resort.

“Time has gone by quickly” says Jeff, “and we are so pleased to have built a business that not only has matured well beyond the start-up phase but is thriving.” Currently Living Waters Spa enjoys an over 70% repeat rate and is the only clothing optional natural mineral water spa in Southern California. “We’ve had guests from 47 different states, Canada, all over Europe and beyond. They come for our pure mineral water pools, magical massage, and a clothing optional experience.”

Living Waters Spa is currently ranked #4 out of all hotels in California on TripAdvisor.com and has won the “hidden gem” award from TripAdvisor the past two years. These awards from TripAdvisor are quickly becoming among the most coveted in the hotel industry because they are voted on by millions of real travelers who gather to share their opinions on the world's largest travel community: TripAdvisor.com.

“More than a vacation” according to Judy, is what they provide the guests at Living Waters Spa. “People come from all walks of life, all ages, sizes and shapes to enjoy our pure mineral and do so with the option of not wearing a bathing suit. Jeff and I feel that our spa is special in that our guests leave the spa fully refreshed, rejuvenated, and restored as a person. Living Waters Spa is a place to be still, to listen, to sense, to feel, to breathe life, and to receive a transformative massage.”

The spa has two primary types of accommodations: 9 rooms around the pools and 6 condos a few steps away. All feature a custom mattress, fine linens, and European style décor. Most of the rooms around the pools have kitchens, and in keeping with the spa concept, do not have phones or TVs. The condos are all two bedroom units. The fully furnished kitchens have granite or tile kitchen countertops, and the comfortable living room features a flat screen TV and DVD player. All accommodations have free wireless broadband internet access.

The pools at Living Waters Spa flow with mineral water that comes out of the earth odorless and pure. The smaller pool is like a large Jacuzzi, covered with an awing so guests can sit in the mineral water and be out of the sun. It is always at a perfect 100 degree temperature. The large pool is under the sun-kissed desert sky and has a mid-80 degree temperature, even in winter.

“You don’t have to be a nudist or naturist to experience the clothing optional aspect of Living Waters Spa” says Jeff. “In fact the vast majority of our guest would not use those terms to describe themselves. These days clothing optional vacations are the fastest growing segment in the travel industry. Living Waters Spa has had some wonderful recognition as THE place to try a simple nude, naked or clothing optional experience. Just recently USA Today and the Ellen Degeneres / AOL websites have singled us out as a place to try the ol’ fashioned skinny-dipping. We are quite proud of these mentions as they show that Americans are starting to learn what Europeans have known for a long time, that nude doesn’t mean lewd!”

Living Waters Spa is also the only clothing optional resort to offer discounts for guests under 30 years of age, those who are in active military, or who are survivors of breast cancer. “We are here with a passion to help people,” says Jeff, “and our discounts especially provide these groups the chance to take a break, reconnect with their partner, and restore their soul.”

Please feel free to contact them if you have any questions about having a clothing optional experience or want to experience “more than a vacation.” Living Waters Spa can be reached at 760-329-9988 / 866-329-9988 or http://www.livingwatersspa.com/ and www.SpaCondos.com.

Nude Saunas - part of everyday life in Helsinki

Public nude saunas are a part of everyday life in Helsinki, as reporter Sarah Shuckburgh discovered on a recent visit. Helsinki residents visit saunas after work to relaxand socialize, similar to the way North Americans stop at their neighborhood bar or coffee shop after a day on the job. Nudity is considered natural in Finland, and citizens tout the saunas' health benefits saying they have fewer colds and other illnesses because of this stress-free, natural way of life. Did Schuckburghdecide to try the saunas herself? At the end of her article, she says she was so relaxed after the experience that she slept "lulled by the rhythmic splashing ofnude swimmers in the pool below." See more here.

Here at Living Waters Spa we have a wonderful sauna. Vintage heart redwood interior and the heating element from Finland.

European guests who are "sauna experts" have told us that our sauna is the best they have experienced in America. So come and check it out! And yes, you can do it like in Helsinki - naked!

Vaseline Continues Nude Advertising

I'm always happy when our media does something good for body acceptance. Vaseline is one such company who has done some great "skin is good" kind of ads.

In addition to Vaseline's ad campaign "Sea of Skin," the company has added Skin Visions to its website, featuring five nude celebrities who tell what their skin reveals about them. According to the website promo, Vaseline wants consumers to see skin the way they do--"up close, in detail, as a deeper reflection of the individual." Watch the Sea of Skin ad clip, view the celebrity portraits or even share your own skin portrait at Vaseline.com.

As a massage therapist I get to see and touch all kinds of skin - the largest and forgotten organ of the body. Plus at Living Waters Spa you get to "be in your skin" as you try skinny-dipping in our pure mineral water.

When was the last time you pampered yourself, your skin, with a wonderful massage. Our massage is transformative in nature. Many of our guests comment that they've never had a "true massage" until receiving our massage.

Check out this YouTube video of our "couples massage":

Is it time to "get into your skin?" or be nurtured with a massage?
We are here...

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Celebrated at Living Waters Spa with Activities & Specials

Desert Hot Springs, CA, September 12, 2007 -- Living Waters Spa a European-style clothing optional resort is celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) with special rates for survivors as well as weekly events to promote breast health and breast cancer awareness.

Judy Bowman, along with her husband Jeff, owns the Living Waters Spa and Judy is a breast cancer survivor. To honor other breast cancer survivors they are offering an amazing special to all survivors and their guests: pay for one night, get a second night free. “This is a substantial special offer and one that I’m proud to give” said Judy. “Not only can survivors benefit but also we are going to donate 10% of all our massage income for October to further breast cancer research.”

Living Waters Spa will also host a dessert and discussion about breast cancer each Saturday night at 7:00 in October. Judy and other survivors will present stories of hope, discuss breast health, and the latest treatment techniques. Judy says: “Our clothing-optional environment affords you the opportunity to see what a survivor looks like, that it’s not always a death sentence. Almost everyone knows someone or will know someone, friend or family, who has dealt with breast cancer. We want you to be informed, supportive and aware of what you can do to fight this disease.” The public is welcome and the admission is free but you must RSVP so they will know you are coming.

Judy tells her story: “15 years ago I heard the words most women dread, ‘I’m sorry, it is cancer.’ Jeff and I were about to move 350 miles to a new job for him with our 4 children, ages 8-15. We all made appointments for routine physicals with our familiar doctors before the big move. At my exam I asked my physician whether or not I should get a mammogram; I was 38. He hesitated but agreed. Later in the afternoon of the test I received a call from him, saying there was something on the film, and he had made an appointment for me to see a surgeon two days later. I naively was not worried, and continued working toward our move, which by now was only 10 days away. Jeff wisely suggested we stop packing until we saw the doctor. When we saw him he said he wanted to schedule a biopsy, which we were able to do that coming Monday. In recovery was where I heard those words, ‘I’m sorry, it is cancer.’

“Those words caused our world to stop and we quickly became knowledgeable about the disease. My path became a mastectomy and ‘tram flap’ reconstruction a month later, followed by 6 months of chemotherapy. Jeff, my family and friends were wonderfully supportive.

“Fast forward to the present time -- I can proudly say that I am a Survivor! I have been able to go on the journey with a number of friends and guests as they dealt with the disease. There’s something about the understanding you can only get from someone who has been there.”

Judy invites you to come and celebrate life with us at Living Waters Spa as we support those who have been confronted with breast cancer.

Billy Graham skinny dipping with Lyndon Johnson

The August 20, 2007 issue of Time magazine features an excerpt from the upcoming book "The Preacher and the Presidents" by Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy about evangelist Billy Graham. The book notes that Graham has been a spiritual guide to United States presidents from Truman through the current administration. Besides interesting insights into U.S. politics and spirituality, the book also reveals that weeks after John F. Kennedy's assassination, Graham was summoned to Washington by a shaken Lyndon Johnson "to talk, pray and go skinny-dipping in the White House pool." Read the full story here.

If you look at our history as a nation, until the "bathing costume" was invented the common folk "skinny-dipped." At Living Waters Spa we are helping Americans have the joy of that ol' time experience! We provide a safe place (no swingers or public sex allowed) that helps people realize that nude doesn't mean lewd. One place near us that touts itself as the "USA Premier Adults Only Day Spa Hotel" is really a swinger place (and is the antithesis of Living Waters Spa) claims that they are: "... A truly SAFE, UPSCALE experience for those contemplating their first encounter with nude recreation and retreat or those world travelers seeking a Lifestyle friendly and up scale nude resort. - Feel the vibe of Jamaica, Hedo or Desire, Cancun all day and night..." Yet "Hedo" is short for Hedonism which is a place that allows sex ANYWHERE -- imagine their hot tub after a night of sex in a social setting! Also, the term "Lifestyle friendly" is a swinger term... So, beware. We've had men finally convince their female partner to try a clothing optional experience only to land at a swinger place and have the female tell them "I told you so!"
-
Interested in trying what Billy Graham and Lyndon Johnson did? Come and visit us! Living Waters Spa is affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) as are all true (non-swinger) clothing optional or nudist hotels / resorts. If you don't visit us - please visit an AANR resort and you won't be disappointed.

Huntington Beach Bans Nudity

The town of Huntington Beach, California, has successfully passed an anti-nudity law despite an outpouring of support from those who opposed the ban. Over 13 speakers, most of which were against the measure, attended the meeting, and e-mails from around the world were sent urging council members to reconsider. A poll on the Orange County Register's website garnered over 1,200 votes with 80% of respondents against the proposed law. But Monday, the City Council unanimously voted to ban public nudity where it is visible from a public area. Proposed regulations on women breastfeeding an infant older than age two and restrictions on wearing a costume or device that simulated nudity were deleted from the ordinance. Read more at Huntington Beach Ban.

The big issue was over a man who would leave his house naked and go outside to pick up his paper and generally just be au naturel. Our culture isn't ready for such simple nudity in public places.

Here at Living Waters Spa once you walk thru our privacy doors you can enjoy being naked anywhere on our grounds. Skinny-dipping in our mineral water pools, european-style sunbathing (nude or topless), and just "being in your skin."

If you have never had such an experience and would like to try it -- Living Waters Spa is for you! We are a safe (no voyeurs, no swingers, no drunks) place!

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call 760-329-9988.

Shakespeare in the Buff

Shakespeare's plays have been interpreted in many different ways, and nudity is not uncommon in theater productions, but an all-nude production of Macbeth by a serious Shakespeare troupe is drawing interest from critics and theatergoers, reports USAToday. While not everyone in the audience is comfortable with the nudity on display throughout the entire play despite its non-sexual nature, it forces viewers to reevaluate their own values. "Clothes remain primary signifiers of an individual's place in a culture, so once apparel is cast aside, social boundaries become less clear," writes reviewer Celia Wren. Macbeth closes a six-month Shakespeare festival in Washington. Click here to learn more.

This is a wonderful / tasteful / artful useage of "simple nudity." In a time where you can see killing, rape, and other violent acts on TV -- but never a naked body -- this play is showing (no pun intended) that the body isn't lewd or rude.

"... to be or not to be..." naked?

Yes you can at Living Waters Spa.

Couples Erotic Massage Workshop

Erotic Massage Workshop for Couples

Desert Hot Springs, CA - If you are a monogamous couple interested in learning erotic massage for each other, where do you go? Sure, there are instructional DVDs that might work, but they can be kind of “porn-ish.” You’ve heard of Tantra and it sounds mysterious and sexy but you may not be into new-age spirituality. Terms and concepts such as chakras, meridians, and kundalini awakening can be rather baffling and unfamiliar.

So where does a couple go to expand their relationship, grow closer to each other, and celebrate sensuality in a safe monogamous context?

The answer: Living Waters Spa! On July 27 & 28 such a workshop will be held at the desert’s only mineral water, clothing optional spa, Living Waters Spa. This event is called “Hot Summer Nights – a Summer Valentine for Lovers.” It will be led by owners and massage therapists Jeff and Judy Bowman who have conducted this workshop several times each year since they opened their spa in 2003. “We wanted to create a workshop that we would want to attend, one that would allow us to explore our sensuality in a safe monogamous context and learn some new approaches to our sex life,” says Jeff. “As massage therapists we know the power of touch. As a couple we’ve been together for 33 years and have worked through many of the issues that block intimacy between a couple. So we’ve put together a weekend workshop that will teach various massage techniques which will give you new tools for the toolbox of intimacy & romance.”

"We have designed this weekend to be a sacred experience that is full of sensuality and joy”, said Judy. The weekend starts on Friday night where couples will learn to give each other a sensuous massage that is as pleasant for the giver as for the receiver. Various massage techniques and body positions will be taught to make it an enjoyable session. This aids the couple to grow in their ability to communicate with their partner via touch. No massage experience needed.

Then on Saturday afternoon the “heat is on.” In “Woman’s Hour” the man will focus on his woman. For about 90 minutes Jeff and Judy share erotic bodywork and sensual touch focused on the woman. In the evening the “Man’s Hour” is held where the woman will focus on her man. During all sessions Jeff and Judy describe and demonstrate on each other the intimate massage and erotic bodywork exercises while instructing the couples as they work on their own partners. “We don’t know of another workshop like this,” say Jeff and Judy, “where couples can learn specific massage exercises that they may have never tried before, where they can discuss aspects of sexuality that are often left unsaid or only in the pages of Cosmo!”

“In prior workshops we’ve had couples of all ages, and as you know, sexuality is far different for a twenty-something couple compared to a sixty-something couple. But as people open up and share during the weekend many wonderful ideas are discovered by all. Some couples have expressed concern regarding the presence of other people in the same room. We can tell you that while there are other couples (limited to 8) you are so concentrated on your partner that the rest are blocked out.” A note: access to Living Waters Spa is restricted during Hot Summer Nights to those participating in the workshop.

Living Waters Spa is a European-style clothing optional natural spring water spa resort that is currently top rated on TripAdvisor.com. It offers its guests a chance to get away, get in touch with life, and rejuvenate mind, body, and spirit. Hot mineral water has been sought out by health enthusiasts the world over and Europeans have gone to the hot baths since ancient days. The mineral water found at Living Waters is odorless, tasteless, and colorless.

The cost of “Hot Summer Nights” is $395.00 per couple plus room rates. LivingWatersSpa.com will provide you with more information or you can call Living Waters Spa at: 760-329-9988.

Public Breast Feeding in Toronto

Toronto wants to make it easier for women to breastfeed openly at city-owned facilities. The city already has a policy guaranteeing all mothers the right to breastfeed at municipalities. A new plan regarding public breastfeeding goes
before the board soon to extend the policy to all city property. The Ontario Human Rights Commission has already ruled that women can breastfeed anywhere they please but the city wants to make mothers' rights "crystal clear." Another report expected in September will suggest ways to support public breastfeeding
in the private sector. Last year, the Region of Peel mailed indow decals that read "breastfeeding anytime, anywhere" to every restaurant in Toronto-area cities. Read more at Public breastfeeding.

Judy breast fed our children and never hesitated to feed them while in public. However, at the time she would simply cover up the child with a blanket and they would feed. This was before we discovered they joy of simple nudity and skinny-dipping.

While children are not at Living Waters Spa (we are a "spa" and not a place for crying babies) woman don't have to hide their breasts.

What do you think of breast feeding in public?

Painting Of Breast Cancer Survivor Banned

A portrait of a breast cancer survivor banned from an art show in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area created a debate over censorship vs. interpretation. Artist Rhon Drinkwater used a woman who had a mastectomy as a model for the painting. Gallery officials took down the painting, saying it was not family friendly and there was an "unwrittenrule" regarding hanging "G-rated" work appropriate for all ages. Drinkwater says that considering the statistics about breast cancer and how it affects family membersof all ages, it is appropriate for everyone. She hopes her painting generates discussion about breast cancer, beauty and its interpretation and censorship. A poll on theWFAA TV website out of Dallas/Fort Worth showed that the majority of respondents disagreed with the gallery's decision. Read more [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=7w4i84bab.0.f478aacab.pvrzw8bab.255&ts=S0254&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wfaa.com%2Fsharedcontent%2Fdws%2Fwfaa%2Flatestnews%2Fstories%2Fwfaa070502_wz_cancerart.2e129bf9.html], take the poll and view results.

Judy is also a breast cancer survivor. Back in 1992 she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 38. She had our 4 children young, breast feed them all, did not smoke, and has no history of BC in her family, etc. etc. In other words she would have scored a ZERO on the probability test of whether or not she was a cancer risk -- but she got it.

Here at Living Waters Spa we have had many "heros" of Breast Cancer. Some women choose to have reconstruction while others choose to have none. Regardless, all are beautiful and ALIVE.

Sadly, the art gallary which banned Rhon Drinkwater's picture is perpetuating our culture's sexualizing of the breast by hiding it from being seen.

Bart Simpson Goes Full Frontal

The Simpsons are about to make Hollywood history. Not only is the popular series the longest running animated TV show and second-longest running sitcom in U.S. history, the new Simpsons movie will be the first film--animated or not--to have a full-frontal nude scene without being slapped with an R rating. The Simpsons Movie, premiering in July, features Bart skateboarding nude through Springfield on a dare from his father Homer. The nude scene is creating plenty of buzz from major media venues such as Newsweek to college campuses. Although the big-screen exposure is a first for the Simpsons, they are no strangers to nudity. The cover of 1991's The Simpsons's Uncensored Family Album features a nude Bart on a bearskin rug. Bart also appeared nude on the cover of Rolling Stone in a recreation of Nirvana's Nevermind album cover. Plus, the show has aired over 200 differentscenes of implied or pixilated nudity during its nearly two-decade run. Read more at The Simpsons Movie: [http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/229085/bart_simpsons_nude_scene.html].

Principal Suspended After Single Nude Photo **UPDATE**

After a nude photo of a Canadian elementary school principal surfaced online, he was put on paid administrative leave while an investigationis being conducted. The photo has been called an"artistic shot" of Principal Mark Classen standing nude on a beach while vacationing in New Zealand. Taken by Classen's wife, the photo was the only nude shot of about 500 travel photosposted on Classen's personal family website. A parent discovered the photo when Classen e-mailed her about a school-related issue and inadvertently attached a link to his personal website. Read more at: [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=jet6k4bab.0.idzqo4bab.pvrzw8bab.255&ts=S0243&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.azcentral.com%2Foffbeat%2Farticles%2F0425nude-principal0425-ON.html].

**UPDATE**
The school district reinstated the Principal! Click here for more. How wonderful that the parents stepped up and supported Principal Classen.

How sad (again) that our society is afraid of the human body. Principal Classen wasn't doing anything wrong, plus these were his PERSONAL pictures... The person had to look at them to find the one picture that had nudity...

Oh well, here at Living Waters Spa we enjoy a clothing optional setting without any hassles or shame. You don't have to be a "nudist" or "naturist" to visit our spa. As we like to say: "All good peoples are welcome."

Remove a Nude Sculpture - What is with our culture!

Here is the situation: A controversial nude sculpture was removed from a roundabout sculpture park in Loveland,Colorado. Residents were concerned about children viewing the sculpture that depicts two women and one man. Artist Kristin Kokkin wanted the sculpture to be "kind of a wheel so that the energy is flowing from all three of them and it really and truly is how humanity relies on support of people." According to Jim Baldwin, of the Loveland Visual Arts Commission, there has been controversy about every nude that has beenpart of the collection. A poll on cbs4denver.com revealed that 71% of respondentsfelt the statue should not be removed. The 1,200 lb. bronze was moved in a flatbeadtruck across town at a cost of about $8,000. Read the story and watch the video. [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=bnlav5bab.0.juje65bab.pvrzw8bab.255&ts=S0242&p=http%3A%2F%2Fcbs4denver.com%2Ftopstories%2Flocal_story_108074336.html]

What is with our culture!!! If you watch the video there is a young mother who says: "We drive by here every day and I do not want my children to see the nude statue..." Yet I'm sure this mom lets her kids watch "sponge Bob square pants" where cartoon violence, junior high flatulence, and other silliness abounds. Parents allow kids to see such cartoon antics but simple nudity should be banned... I don't get it!

One thing we've noticed at Living Waters Spa is the mental health that simple nudity brings. Most of us in America have been raised by parents like that mom. All the while the media bombards us with sexuality via provocative dress and actions. Normal human bodies are not seen naked. Consequently as we age we develop a negative mental image of our bodies and are frequently ashamed of them. As people come to Living Waters Spa and experience the "joys of skinny-dipping" they at once realize that other people are just like them and their self image is restored.

Give us a call when you are ready to have "more than a vacation" here at Living Waters Spa.

Interesting deveopments in NUDITY in the NEWS

More magazine has covered a variety of topics that deal with the positive aspects of nudity. The April issue features a cover story titled "6 Naked Women Who Love Their Bodies." Photographer Rachel Olson wanted to find out why it takes so long to find our inner beauty without judging ourselves and others by appearances.

Vaseline has entered the nude marketing arena with advertisements for its new Intensive Rescue product line. The ad,Vaseline Sea, is called a celebration of the human skin and features naked men and women enjoying the outdoors.

The Guadalajara Reportersays that nudist and topless beaches are taking off in Mexico. Mexico's nudist tourism niche comprises more than 15 million people each spending $2,000-$6,000 on a week's vacation. U.S. tourists make up 70% of the naturist market in Mexico, followed by Canadians.

Media Images Affect Women's Body Image--But Not Men's

A recent UK poll found that a third of women respondents have such poor body image they think they are too overweight to ever appear naked even in front of their partners. The survey, published in The Daily Telegraph, concluded that "images of stick-thin models and digitally slimmed celebrities are convincing a generation of women to keep their clothes on at all times." Men do not seem to be as affected by media images--two-thirds of those polled said they regularly walk around the house nude. Although 46 percent of the female respondents said they like to do the same, a third of them would never do so when their partner or anyone else could see them.

Each week (if not daily) here at Living Waters Spa people have an "epiphany" about their self image. To see others of all ages, sizes and shapes naked helps undo the brainwashing that the media has done.

Come and experience "more than a vacation" at Living Waters Spa - #1 rated on TripAdvisor.com.

Mark and Brian (KLOS) and Nudity

Here in So. Cal. there is a great morning show hosted by "Mark and Brian" on 95.5 KLOS. These guys are a couple of wacky DJs whose show runs from 6:00am to 10:am Monday thru Friday. The show is syndicated and reaches many distant cities. I LOVE THE SHOW... However,

In typical comedic fashion, they poke fun at being naked. This isn't bad, it is just the typical concept that we Americans have about simple nudity. The other thing they do is associate nudity with sex...

They just concluded a interesting program where they broadcasted from Hedonism in Jamaica.

In typical "girls gone wild" fashion they discussed all the sexual aspects of Hedo (as it is frequently called) and the nudity there. While I'm not against sex, I just find that this association of sex with clothes free vacationing extreemly limited AND it fosters the American belief that nude=sex or nude=lewd.

Imagine if we could get Mark and Brian to do a show here at Living Waters Spa... sure it would be funny with all the stereotypes and all BUT I think we could show them (no pun intended) that simple nudity has much more than sex going for it...

Here is a list of things that we've learned:

§ Deepening of Relationships. A frequent result of a clothing optional experience is that of a deepening relationship with your loved one. Simply trying a new experience together often creates a breakthrough and growth in the relationship -- especially when one or the other has been reluctant. We've also noticed that the reluctant one then becomes the one who can't wait to repeat the Living Waters Spa experience!

§ Body / Self Acceptance. Our culture has been brain washed by the Madison Avenue fashion experts who tell us in picture and words what a “perfect” body is like. How many times have you looked in the mirror and thought disparagingly about your body? Not enough muscle, undefined abs, too little breast, wide hips, or not enough hair, and so it goes. This experience puts you in touch with your body and you see that others are “just like you.” Plus, you realize that the “super models” in life are really not that pretty nude and the magazine “centerfolds” are definitely airbrushed. Bottom line: you realize it doesn’t matter what you look like.

§ Body Demystification. We all have a natural curiosity about the body. In the safe environment of Living Waters Spa the body is allowed to be seen and thus demystified. You see what the clothes are covering. The healthy discovery is made that bodies are similar and at the same time different. People are just like you.

§ People Acceptance. Once people are naked equality takes over. You no longer judge or assess the value of a person by what they wear.

§ Creation Awareness. When we go through life we seldom take “time to smell the roses.” Being in a social nude environment (especially for the first time) causes us to become in touch with the surroundings. People never forget the first time they feel the air and sun on their entire body. The sensation of “being alive” is heightened and the awareness of the world around is enhanced.

§ Communication Expansion. There is something about being in a social setting with other naked people. It might be around the pool, in the hot tub, or even under the sunny sky. But regardless of the context, discussions happen – about all topics too! They occur more frequently and with far more ease than in a clothed environment. You may or may not like to talk to others, but a common exclamation made by those who visit Living Waters Spa is how friendly the others are.

One of the great challenges in life is to get the money you need to do the things you want...

Judy and I realized that the price point of our spa was beyond the means of many 20 somethings. We regularly have folks from 18 to 80 and in discussions with the younger folks we learned that they had spend many weeks saving (or using their already maxed credit card) to come to Living Waters Spa.

After doing some analysis (which I love), we realized that we needed to do a "reverse" senior discount... So the concept of our "Next Generation" discount was born. We give a very serious (you'll have to call us to learn how much!) discount on our room rates if the person / couple is 29 and under.

Needless to say it has been a real hit with our guests who fit that age group.

Heck I remember when we were in that age bracket (...way back in the day) and we hardly had any money to go to McDonalds, let alone a wonderful spa like Living Waters.

If we expect our clothing optional philosophy to grow in America, we who own such spas, hotels, nudist clubs and resorts, etc. need to step up and help the next generation to experience the joy of "clothes free" experiences. We are seeing that by offering a substantial discount we are able to introduce this next generation to the ol' fashion "skinny-dipping."

The Living Waters Spa experience is about our passion to share the joys of simple nudity with others.

Give us a call if you are 29 or less and we'll help you have the Living Waters Spa experience. 760-329-9988.

No Snow Here

We get guests from all over the country and at this time of the year many folks are wishing they could be here in the desert of Palm Springs. Check out this wintery mess from an email I got from a guest:

"Have you heard about the weather around here? Jeez. It's been terrible since we've been back! The Friday before last it started raining - pouring. (In February in Iowa!). It thundered a lot, rained, and rained, and rained. Of course, it was raining because for awhile it was above 32. However, that didn't last, so then there were slushballs falling from the sky, sleet, etc. Then it rapidly froze. There was about an inch of ice on everything. Twigs and limbs were snapping, some ice was falling off in chunks and landing on the roof all nights. Big limbs were hanging down, almost touching the ground. Power poles snapped off like matchsticks and thousands were without power. Fortunately we did not lose power. This lasted through the night on Saturday. This was supposed to be followed by a huge blizzard on Sunday, but when we woke up, everything was starting to melt. Some people were without power for over a week. And then this last weekend, there was more sleet and snow and very high winds. We didn't get the blizzard that the western part of the state got, about a foot of snow, but we got about six inches and it was blowing all over the place. Many, many roads were closed - and the two major interstates that cross the state were closed. It's been wild! Needless to say, the state is full of people who are losing their minds because they're READY FOR SPRING!That is probably more than you care to know, but I thought you both might like to know what you're missing..."

Judy and I lived in cold country for 17 years. Needless to say, WE LOVE THE DESERT!

All sizes and shapes

Almost daily we have "first timers" to public skinny-dipping at Living Waters Spa. We got this email:

"On Sunday when there were a lot of folks at the spa for 3:30 wine and snacks, D--- saw that people are people and come in all shapes and sizes. She says that she just may get nude this summer..."

As Americans we typically only see nudity in the form of actors/actresses who are specifically chosen to be nude. What we don't see are REGULAR people - folks that have normal bodies. When people come to our spa they see "regular" people just like them. When that happens there is often a new awarness that helps in self acceptance.

Judy is a breast cancer survivor. At 38 cancer was discovered in her right breast. Her cancer was removed - breast and all - reconstruction and chemotherapy. She is a survivor and I'm proud of her!

At the spa our guests learn that beauty starts from the inside and that everybody has physical issues they must learn to accept. Seeing others who are "like you" helps...

Welcome to OUR Blog

Hi we are Jeff and Judy and we've created Living Waters Spa.

We have created a very cool place where folks can enjoy "skinny-dipping" in pure hot mineral water, get amazing massages, facials, body waxings, and other spa treatments.

We opened our doors in 2003 and have had guests from all over the US, Canada, and Europe. Most of our guests have never tried a bathing suit optional (also called by other terms such as clothing optional, nude, nudist, naturist or skinning dipping) vacation. But once they do, they have the most amazing experiences of their life.

We welcome you to come and experience what our European friends have known all along - nothing beats swimming naked in pure mineral water!

Check out our main website: www.LivingWatersSpa.com for more information.

We are a true spa and welcome all good people: singles or couples. We are a safe place and protect the privacy of our guests.
