Clothing Optional (or Nudist) Questions & Answers

Living Waters Spa opened it's doors back in 2003... I'd have to say that since that time we've "heard it all" in the form of questions from potential guests.  Here are some commonly asked questions and our answers.

Clothing Optional... what it's all about
Our facility is completely private and "European style" clothing-optional. You are encouraged to soak in our healing mineral waters au naturel and enjoy this total immersion in nature. For generations Europeans have visited the "spas" and have sunbathed nude. We Americans are now realizing how relaxing this "nude recreation" can be.  Swimsuit optional vacations are now becoming common for us and we are discovering what our European friends have known all along -- such simple nudity is total freedom. We've designed our place to give "first timers" the best clothes free experience possible. At Living Waters Spa we provide you the coolest vacation souvenir of all: no tan-lines!

FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
What do you mean by "European Style Clothing Optional?"
For years Europeans have had a more self-accepting view of the body than Americans.  They understand that simple nudity is just that - simple nudity.  Consequently they are not ashamed of going "au naturel" when at the spa.  We have found once people try it they discover a new found joy.  To float, swim, soak or sunbathe without any restrictions is a luxurious and free feeling.  At Living Waters Spa you are welcome to enjoy our entire facility sans-clothing -- most do -- but it is up to you.  There is no pressure...after all, you are on vacation or as they say in Europe: "holiday!"

Happy NUDE Year 2013

Yeah I couldn't resist the "NUDE" part.  May this year be a good one for all of us... and may you enjoy some time just in your "skin" as well.

I saw an article today entitled "My Sexual Resolutions."  I was intrigued so I read it.  The very last point the author stated:

"I am not “a naked person.” I do not share dressing rooms with friends, take it all off at the women’s sauna or go skinny dipping on a lark. Even disrobing for a massage feels improper. I’m a bit of a nudity prude, which is odd for someone who receives sex toy samples at the office and has a bottle of bacon lube sitting next to her computer monitor — or maybe it makes perfect sense. I’m exceedingly comfortable with eroticized undress, but what about the desexualized naked body? I think it’s worthwhile to challenge our own individual brand of prudishness, whatever it may be."

I found it very interesting that they felt the need to explore non-sexual nudity.  I could not agree more!  Our current culture has some issues with simple, non-sexual nudity.  People are totally afraid to be seen simply nude.  People will tell us on the phone "I'll come to your resort once I loose 20 pounds."  Our typical reply is that "it doesn't matter what weight you are!"  We've also been known to say "... and a bathing suit hides it!"

Our opinion and experience is that people of all sizes and shapes look better nude.  Seriously.  We've been so brainwashed by our culture that pokes fun at size with statements like "some people should NEVER be seen nude."  How sad a "judgement" against another human being.

If you poke around our website (www.LivingWatersSpa.com) you'll see pictures of naked people.  I believe we did these very tastefully AND these are REAL people who are guests who consented to be photographed.  They are NOT paid models. Soooo, have you had a non-sexual naked experience?  Perhaps 2013 is the year for you and that you'll choose Living Waters Spa as the place to try. BTW, the article mentioned can be found at: http://www.salon.com/2012/12/30/my_sexual_resolutions/

Allure's Nude Issue Hits Newsstands

Allure magazine's annual Nude Issue hit newsstands this week. Inside six celebrities pose nude and according to the article, "gained serious body insight." American Idol judge and songwriter Kara DioGuardi and singer Colbie Caillat both described the experience as "liberating." DioGuardi describes her struggles with binge eating and depression in her 20s, so posing nude was "something of a personal triumph." Other celebrities featured in the issue are Regina Hall, Emmanuelle Chriqui, a pregnant Jessica Capshaw and Catherine Zeta-Jones. See here for the full article.

Here at Living Waters Spa, our guests have similar experiences to that of Kara... Sometimes the women are afraid to "bare all" because they feel their bodies are not perfect. Not to mention we have so sexualized the naked body... Well what typically happens is that our female guests realize that they are just like other women and no one "looks" or even cares!

Come for a visit to Living Waters Spa and get "liberated!"
